The Marsyas  is one of many of the  handmade recorders from our manufactory in Schaffhausen.

Marsyas recorders are designed according to baroque principles and they offer large dynamic possibilities with effortless response in all registers.

During the tuning process, special care is taken to ensure a colorful, clear sound and a balanced pitch.

The unmistakable outer shape, which was exclusively designed for Marsyas recorders, is a particularly attractive and elegant design.

Marsyas recorders are the result of years of research by Heinz Ammann. They are professional quality instruments which are produced by Küng, then tuned and voiced by hand. Thus profound knowledge and versatile technology are brought together to make these recorders.
This alto recorder is made of castello boxwood and is supplied in a hard case with a cleaning rod, cork grease and maintenance instructions.
